Maryland State Child Care Association’s 2026 Conference by the Sea

April 30 - May 5

This year’s theme is Empowering Maryland’s Everyday Heroes.

The conference will be held in person and as a virtual experience to accommodate the needs of all heroes. Virtual attendees will enjoy the Attendee Hub app and excellent streaming support for training sessions and engagement. The conference will feature outstanding trainers and national keynote speakers, including:

  • Debbie Clement from Rainbows Within Reach
  • MSDE Division of Early Childhood Assistant Superintendent Sarah Neville-Morgan with her Office of Child Care Leadership panel
  • Mr. Tyheim Clark, The Child Care Whisperer
  • Esteemed state legislators, and Marica Cox Mitchell from the Bainum Family Foundation
  • MFN will be an exhibitor at the conference and will present a session on Shared Services.

Fulfill all your MSDE-approved training requirements in one weekend. You also have the option of a four-day conference experience, potentially earning 20 hours of Core of Knowledge training, or a two-day pass to achieve up to 12 hours of MSDE-approved training.  MSCCA is collaborating with the Latino Child Care Association of Maryland to feature bilingual and Spanish-language training tracks on Friday and Saturday.  There are discounted rates at three local hotels: The Hampton Inn Suites, The Aloft, and The Sealoft, all conveniently located within blocks of the convention center. Daily shuttles will be provided, and the convention center offers ample free parking. Evening activities will be held at the host hotels, and MSCCA will host the Superheroes Glow Dance Party at the convention center on May 2nd.
