Other Ways To Give
Tribute Gifts
Gifts can be made in honor of or in memory of someone special. This is a great way to honor a parent or grandparent, an early childhood educator, or celebrate a special occasion. At the same time, you’re also helping young children across Maryland!
Facebook Gifts
Host a Facebook fundraiser for MFN.
Donated Stock
Transferring appreciated stock from your account to MFN can reduce your capital gains tax and may provide greater tax benefits than a cash gift. We recommend consulting with your financial advisor or tax professional before making a gift of stock. For more information, please contact us.
Matching Gifts
Ask your Human Resources office if your employer has a matching gift program and how it works. A match is an easy way to maximize your contribution and may double – or even triple— the impact of your gift. If your HR office requires information about us, please contact us.
Workplace Gifts
Make a donation to MFN through one of the following workplace campaigns by selecting our designated charity code:
- United Way Campaign for participating private companies – 6257
- Baltimore City Employee United Way Campaign (formerly the Combined Charity Campaign) – 6257
- Maryland Charity Campaign for state employees – 52-1486702
- Combined Federal Campaign for federal employees – 68173
Planned Gifts
You can leave a legacy and support future generations of children by making a planned gift to MFN. Options for planned gifts, include bequests, IRA contributions, charitable trusts, retirement plans, life insurance, and charitable gift annuities. Consult with your financial advisor or tax professional before determining which gift option is best for you and then contact us.
Amazon Wishlist
Donations of children’s books and educational toys are welcome. Visit our Wish List on Amazon.com to find out which books and toys our program experts recommend. Supplies that are needed on a regular basis for our many training programs can also be found on our Wish List. If you want to donate additional items, please contact us to determine if our programs will be able to accept the items.
Champions for Children
Champions for Children is a multi-year giving society dedicated to improving the lives and opportunities of Maryland’s youngest children, their families, and early care professionals across the state. Our esteemed Champions not only ensure the organization’s financial sustainability for many years to come, but also ensure that we remain the state’s preeminent voice for the youngest, most vulnerable children regardless of the latest trends or political climate.
Become a Champion for Children by making a pledge to donate $1,000 or more annually for the next five years. If you are interested in becoming a Champion for Children, please contact our Development Team.
