Maryland Family Network provides consultation for children with developmentally appropriate behavioral issues. If you are a child care provider in Maryland experiencing behavioral difficulties with children in your care, contact your local Child Care Resource Center for technical assistance. Consultations often involve help in identifying and managing specific behaviors or patterns of behavior. Consultations may also extend to facility layout, classroom management, communicating with parents of difficult children, and redirecting instructors.

The Early Childhood Mental Health Program (ECMH), a program of the Maryland State Department of Education, also offers consultation for more severe behavioral issues. The technical assistance staff at local Child Care Resource Centers provides assistance and referrals for additional services, as needed.
