2020 Census: Count The Kids!
Census results help to determine how federal funds are distrubuted to state, county, and local programs and services. Accurate data is needed to ensure that funds flow to the programs and locations where they are needed most. Approximately $18,250 in federal funds is lost for each Marylander not captured in the Census. Accurate data is also necessary to ensure that young children get the services and resources that they need to grow and learn. So, encourage the families you work with to include accurate information about their family when filling out the Census forms. Our children's future is dependent upon having quality resources during the critical early years of life. Census mailers go out in March, and all data must be submitted by August 2020.
