Children's Advocacy in Annapolis

The 2020 Evening for Children's Advocacy in Annapolis took place on Monday, January 27th, and was well attended. Hundreds of advocates who gathered to meet with their representatives to discuss the importance of early childhood education, and to advocate for continued funding for high-quality programs. Those in attendance also got to witness an evening Session take place in the State House. Montgomery County Delegates Jheanelle Wilkins, Lily Qi, Ariana Kelly, Julie Palakovich Carr, and Pamela Queen, as well as Prince George's County Delegate Joseline Pena-Melnyk and Montgomery County Senator Sharon Kagan took time out of their busy schedules to come and speak with our delegation on the importance of maintaining advocacy efforts on behalf of Maryland's little ones. Cosponsors of this event included Maryland Association of the Education of Young Children, Maryland Head Start Association, Maryland State Child Care Association, Maryland State Family Child Care Association, and SEIU Local 500.
