MFN’s executive director Named a 2024 Influential Marylander
The Daily Record named Laura Weeldreyer, MFN’s executive director, as one of their 2024 Influential Marylanders in the Civic Leadership category.
The editors selected 57 Influential Marylanders for their significant contributions to their respective fields and their leadership in Maryland in the following areas: civic leadership, communications, education, finance, freestyle, general business, health care, law, philanthropy, real estate, and technology.
In his nomination of Laura, Mike Gill, former Maryland Secretary of Commerce, said, "Laura’s influence on the field of early care and education is significant. What makes her a great leader and asset to Maryland, however, is that she would trade any influence and notoriety she’s earned to guarantee a chance at success for every child."
Meanwhile, Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, managing director of BridgeTower Media/The Daily Record, said, “Influential Marylanders are mentors to other leaders, and they challenge us to realize and attain our own hopes and dreams. We are honored to recognize their many accomplishments.”
The Influential Marylanders will be honored at a celebration on September 18 starting at 4:30 p.m. at The Grand Lodge in Cockeysville. Find a complete list of the 57 Influential Marylanders on The Daily Record's website.
